Ännu en bedragare...

D.J. Grothe på Twitter: JREF just got a heartbreaking call from a woman who was in Hollywood recently as a tourist and was victimized by a psychic not two blocks from our L.A. offices. She tearfully recounted the standard M.O.: started with a $10 palm reading she did on a lark, and turned into multiple visits that revealed the evil curses in her life which finally explained her vexing problems, such as her failing relationship with her boyfriend, her sisters' negativity and back-biting, her financial woes. The psychic (whom we're not yet ready to name) eventually got a total of $3,500 from the her, which she had to borrow from family members who were themselves hurting financially. Among other things, the psychic used the old honey pot gambit, to make her life "as sweet as honey." (The honey pot gambit is when the victim is told to buy a jar of honey, empty it, take a very hot bath and scrub herself very thoroughly while thinking of all the negativity in her life, and then to fill the now empty honey jar with the dirty bath water. The water in the honey jar then magically turns black when brought back to the psychic and it is prayed over, impressively showing that the curse has been removed.) She and another victim who was swindled out of $14,000 from the same psychic are both willing to come forward, which is unusual, since victims of psychic scams are often filled with such shame and embarrassment.
